 Flower Pocket Tag Set

This is an easy and fun set of pocket tags, I called them the Flower Pocket Tags because they are about the size of a package of flower seeds. I also wanted to include the 'plant stakes' just for a little something extra. I will have the cutting guide below with directions (they are quite easy, so no worries, and if you need any help, just let me know I will be happy to offer aid).

The set of 3 Flower Pocket Tags with their 'plant stakes'.

I have used Blue Fern papers along with yellow seam binding that I wet, inked and crumpled then dried. I thought the bright yellow was a bit too much for this particular paper, but the inking made it perfect. I have inked everything, the cardstock, papers, seam binding and embellishments.

I rounded the bottoms of the 'plant stakes' and they slide in and out with ease. The embellishments I had in my stash and wanted to use items that would also compliment the theme as well as the papers. I LOVE dimension, so I will normally add embellishments that stand out or up, I just love how it really makes a project POP!

I inked the piece of white paper doily to again give it that 'aged' look.

The large butterfly has some sparkle on it...although it doesn't show very well in the picture.

I think I really love this one. The white paper doily is inked and under the pattern paper, the seam binding that I used on all 3 pocket tags was again inked and made into a simple loop with a jeweled big butterfly on top. I kept the embellishments on the 'plant stakes' a bit layed back, as I wanted that beautiful jeweled butterfly to take the most attention.

You could also use these pocket tags to hold other things..notes, cards or more tags.

I had to do a close up of that pretty butterfly. Just gorgeous!

Here is the cutting guide:

Flower Pocket Tags Cutting Guide

Cardstock:

 (3) 9 1/2 X 4 1/4  with 4 1/4 across the top score @ 1/2 & 3 3/4

Burnish score lines

With the 9 1/2 across the top score @ 4 1/4 burnish score line.

On the top half measuring 5 1/4, cut both sides along the score lines to remove both of the side 1/2" sections. Round the top corners. I used a 1/2" corner rounder.

On the bottom half miter all corners. I used a 1" round punch to punch the thumb hole on the bottom portion (when folded would be the top front)

Pattern Papers

(3) 5 x 3 (Inside pocket papers)

(3) 4 x 3 (Pocket fronts papers)

NOTE:

Before assembling, ink all cardstock and pattern papers.

Stick down the inside pattern papers 'before' gluing down the pocket front.

Apply glue to the front side sections that have been scored and burnished, stick it down.

Add pattern papers to the fronts.

Add embellishments as you like.

*I made (3) 'plant stakes' using chipboard scraps cut @ 5 1/2 x 1 and (3) cut @ 1 x 1 1/2 for each pocket tag. I cut matching cardstock to cover the bare chipboard stakes (3) cut @ 1 x 1 1/2. Papers for the stakes were scraps cut @ 5 1/8 x 7/8. The top pieces of the stakes can be embellished as you wish.

I hope you enjoy this quick and easy project. Check back for more I will be posting soon. Working on some new creations I am excited to share. I will be posting a video soon on my youtube channel:

 Valentines Day

It won't be long until Valentines Day is here again. The above project is one I did before for my Design Team Project and for Valentines Day as well. This collection was from Authentic, and I always try to use the quote they use on their collections. I think they say so much and should be incorporated somewhere within the project.  There are a lot of pictures step by step in the archives of this creation. I will be posting some new creations shortly, as well as some cutting guides and tutorials, so stop back by to check them out.

 Stand Up Easel Valentine Card

What a fun fun easy cool Valentine Card!!! This is a TRUE Stand Up Easel Valentine Card that will close and can be put into an envelope. The recipient can then stand it on their desk or anywhere they choose.

I used the Echo Park Cupid & Co. Collection and love how it turned out, truly a one of a kind and one to keep.

I will post the cutting guide and link to the tutorial as soon as it's ready to go. Check back soon, it will be here shortly.

 HAPPY  2021

I am so happy 2020 has finally ended! I wish I could say it had been a good year, but of course that would be a blatant lie. So much happened in 2020 and a lot of it was not good....not saying it was completely a loss, but just glad to forget that year and start a new one.

I have so many projects in mind, I can't wait to post many of them. I have finally decided to try my hand at doing tutorials, and made my first one for the New Years Eve Crop for Country Craft Creations 'last year'. Granted it was by far not 'perfect', but at least it was a simple one and many were able to follow it and actually create the cool Easel Pocket Tag. I will post some of those pics here as well as the link to the youtube tutorial shortly.

I will be posting more in my blog, but will try to keep it mainly about scrapping and creating as I know everyone stays so busy and I hate to take up too much time posting gibberish about what I'm doing in my personal life. I hope you all will check it out as I will be posting a link to this blog on Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations (on Facebook). I do believe there is already a link there in the files section in that group, but will post it again to be safe.

Soooooooo, keep watching and I hope to bring you some new and different creations here in 2021 (sounds so futuristic doesn't it)!! You can email me in the link in my profile. Be sure to check out the archives for some of the past creations I have done. I think you will find some you just might like there.

Thanks for visiting my blog, and please, come back again soon!
