Design Team Project using Authentique Cheerful Collection

I would like to share my newest Design Team Project I created for Country Craft Creations using the Authentique Cheerful Collection. What a fun fun collection it was to use. This album measures 8 X 6 1/2 with a large 3" spine and full of inter-active pages. I like to make each page different so one doesn't know what to expect when the next page is turned. Above is the front cover. The papers are just fabulous! I love the patterns as well as the cut a parts and cardstock punch outs. I matted and used them for embellishments popping some up for added interest. I incorporated a shaker on the front cover and place the word 'Cheerful' inside. Small colored beads were added to make it a true 'shaker'. I have used cream colored cardstock for my base and also brought in some red cardstock as it seemed to flow nicely with this collection. I used colored seam binding throughout and it matched perfectly.

The spine

The back cover

Such a fun, colorful and definitely cheerful collection.

The inside of the front cover has a pretty pocket adorned with colored seam binding and holds a nice size photo mat.  The first page has a double pocket embellished with a matted punch out that I pop dotted for dimension and cream colored seam binding. Inside the pockets are matted cut a parts perfect for small photos or journaling spots and a large photo booklet as well. All 3 pockets are roomy enough to hold several photos.

Contents of the pockets

Turning the page will be page 2 & 3. A pretty gingham bellyband embellished with a matted cut a part holds a nice size photo mat. Black seam binding works in beautifully. On page 3 it is a multi faceted page with lots of room for many photos and journaling spots. More of the black seam binding also insures the continuity of the pages. I also used scraps of the beautiful pattern papers to embellish the pages and mats even more.

The pretty photo mats that the bellyband and pocket holds.

Turning the page again and I have matted some cut a parts and grouped them at the bottom to form a bottom stop to hold a nice size photo mat. Next page has a side stop that holds a nice photo mat.

Look at all the content of these 2 pages with room for plenty more. There is also a large top load photo mat with a decorative pull. There are 3 of these throughout the album. Aren't these patterns fun!

Next pages. A roomy side pocket embellished with pretty red seam binding holds a bright and cheerful photo mat. The next page is also pretty and bright.

Pocket contents. A matted cut a part also serves as a stop to hold a photo. Lots of photo space in this album.

Turning the smaller page in this multi-faceted section, more pockets and bellybands to hold more and more photo mats and journaling spots.

Flip that small flap again and you will find a bottom pocket and a side stop on the opposite page. Gotta' love the pattern papers in this collection!

Still turning the smaller flap 'pages' that hold yet more and more photo mats with room for plenty more! It was so easy to keep adding to the album because the collection was so easy to use and just continued to flow nicely.

A close up of this page to highlight the rectangle shaker. Fun, fun, fun! I filled it with hearts and stars and love how it shows on the page!

Turn the page and another fun fun fun bottom pocket/stop created using matted cut a parts. Love that red striped paper! Next page is a large photo frame using acetate and allowing for a side load picture. Love the black, white and red colors together.

Page contents which includes another one of the top loading large photo mats with the decorative pull.

Pages and pages of pockets, flips, flaps, stops and surprises!

The matted cut a part on the photo tag will also hold a picture if you slide it behind the small stop.

See what turning the small flap brings.... more and more fun!

Even the smaller 1/2 pages hold just as much as the full size pages, and sometimes more   :-)

This page is super fun! I put it in the center of the album and thought that was the perfect placement.

It's a pop up! I've done pop ups in the past, but this one is a bit different as it's more like a pop up file box. I've done accordion boxes and files before but not quite like this one. This will hold several photo mats and when the flap is lifted all of them will be readily available to pull and view. Close the flap and they all retract back in to their snug places. I liked using the basket print for this page as I thought how perfect it fits with the technique. The punch out just screamed 'put me on there' also! ;-)

I put in 6 photo mats but there was plenty of space for several more! Reminds me kinda' like a waterfall (as you know that is my favorite thing to include), because it takes up a small amount of real estate, but holds so much.

Turning the page, some fun red and white stripes that also have a 'chevron' type side stop to add photos behind. On the other page, a pretty narrow belly band that has been embellished.

Don't you love the patterns this collection has to offer!

Turning the 1/2 page brings more. A side stop holds some matted cut a parts and the other page has a pretty wide belly band embellished with soft cream colored seam binding and a punch out bottom stop to keep that pretty matted photo tag in place. A large top load matted tag can be found on that page as well with the decorative pull.

Lots of room for contents

More pages and more fun mats and places for those precious pictures!

Here is what you will find in those pockets and side stops.

Isn't it amazing how far an 8 X 8 paper pad will go!! Turning the pages leads to more and more!!

I loved that I could utilize scraps to create awesome matted photo tags. Those small cut a parts were absolutely perfect for embellishments and the punch outs were a definite plus.

Lasts page and inside back cover. Whew! So much from only an 8 X 8 paper pad! I love these pages and how vibrant and truly cheerful they are, a perfect name for the collection.

The last page contents and inside back cover.  Colored seam binding and red cardstock and voila! So many places to hold a ton of photos in this album.

Design Team Creation using Carta Bella Summer Splash

Design Team Project for Country Craft Creations.
What a fun fun collection this was to work with. Summery for sure! I've created a Folio/Waterfall Album, making sure there are plenty of spaces for all those summery fun pictures. Whether it's beach pics or backyard pool photos, this collection works beautifully to cover all those scenes.

I also wanted there to be a place to 'store' this folio...so I created a wave box to keep it in. This way it can be displayed nicely in open view....or it can be put away...either way it keeps your folio together in one place.

Out of the box holder the folio is a nice large size: 9 1/2 X 6 3/4
The box size is: 7 1/2 X 4
On the front of the cover I have fussy cut 2 bands of beachy sayings from the pattern paper and matted them making for a slanted double belly band. I also matted one of the awesome chipboard pieces and used it as a bottom stop. A large cut a part was matted and slid comfortably under the bands and into the stop. Perfect place for more photos!

The backside of the folio is also used to hold another matted cut a part, perfect for an additional photo or journaling. Another beachy saying was fussy cut and matted to create the belly band and another cool chipboard piece was matted to act as the bottom stop.

Nice large matted cut a parts from those belly bands.

Opening the folio...wow! Lots of spaces for lots of photos! The pattern papers and embellishments from that collection are just so cool and easy to use. More photo mats could be placed in the slots if desired as there is ample space. The stickers from the collection really add to the overall appearance as well.

Oh yes, there is yet another section to this folio! Turn that last page to find even MORE spaces for photos! This holds tons!!

Let's start with page one and remove the matted tags to show the layout of the page

See the slits in the first page...those are the mat holders. The matted tags stay securely in place in those slits due to the assembly of the page adding 'holders' to the backside. Lots of space for lots of matted photos.

A nice close up of the first page

Middle section of the folio. The first page (inside front cover) and this section are both the large sections holding photo mats: 6 1/4 X 4 1/4

Photo mats removed to show the holders

The inside back section

The large flapped mat slides on top of the smaller ones and slips nicely into the bottom slot. This holds all the flapped smaller mats in place securely. Photo mats are smaller for this section of the folio: 4 1/4 X 4 1/4 with a 4 1/4 X 2 flap

Closing that back flap exposes the additional storage space on the backside!

Removing the long tall photo mat that slips into the bottom front slot and the very top slot (which holds everything in together nicely), you can see the additional smaller photo mats with their flaps.

Such a super fun project with an easy to use collection from Carta Bella.
Here is a picture of the slotted pages before they were attached to the covers:
This is the 'backside' of the pages. The photo pocket stops are in place and the pages are scored, folded, cut and taped ready to install to the covers.
