When I received the Design Team package from Country Craft Creations in Hooper, I was excited to see the Marion Smith Garment District Collection. I knew it would be easy to use these beautiful papers to create a soft 'vintage feel' project and I knew just what I wanted to do. The 8x10 frame came unfinished which I base coated with the creamy acrylic putty colored paint. I then inked the frame with vintage photo so it would show through areas that I tore in the papers. I tore the edges of the papers and inked using the same vintage photo. It was a lot of fun picking and choosing the papers but a hard choice as they are all so beautiful.  I cut some of the elements from the papers to use as embellishments along the bottom of the frame. The glitter trim was added to the rounded cut out from the papers to highlight the usable booklet it holds. The front says "On This Day" and was a cut out from the collection in the form of a small booklet. The inside I also used part of a cut out from the collection so journaling could be written about the picture. I added flowers that I applied the putty colored paint along the petals to 'age' them along with a little ink. I embellished some of the flowers with glimmer mist that I made. I added the doilies and ribbons along with the curled wires and included some of the gems from Marion Smiths JunQue and Gems.

How fitting this would be to hold a wedding picture of ones parents or grandparents. The soft vintage style of this collection is a must have for those wanting to create something timeless.
