Design Team Project using Authentique Vintage Christmas

 

 

I absolutely love this collection and the project! I've always been a fan of Authentiques Collections, but this Vintage Christmas is just beautiful! It was so easy to work with and a pleasure to create with. What I made is a Christmas Card Folio held in place on a footed stand and covered with a 'see through' acetate window cover!! I love how it turned out and hope you all do as well. This creation can be set out and is quite functional as you will see in the photos.

I have papered and used the cut a parts and stickers to embellish this sweet creation.

 

 

Lift the cover (on the right) to expose the Christmas Card Folio inside standing safely in the stand.

 

 

You can see the embellishments of the stand and the cover, set off nicely with a pretty bright red ribbon tied up in a nice double bow. Cut a parts from the collection have been matted and stickers have also been matted and pop dotted for dimension to complete the adornments. Wooden balls colored red made perfect feet for the stand.

The cover off  so you can see the nice big window....the cover is papered inside as well as outside.

 

 

Lift that see through cover and inside is the Christmas Card Folio. I love that Authentique always has a quote that pertains to the collection....and I try to incorporate the quote in my project...so I have used it on the cover of the folio. I matted it and curled the center so it pops. I love this pattern in the collection and knew it had to be the cover of the folio.

Here is the footed holder all decked out. Papered inside and out and of course embellished with the beautiful cut a parts that are matted and a sticker that has been matted and pop dotted for dimension. Red wooden feet worked out perfectly and insured a nice steady base.

 

 

I told you this was a functional creation..... it can be used to hold your Christmas Cards you intend to send out. Each side of the inside cover has a very roomy sturdy pocket that is embellished and will hold several cards ready to be filled out, and the inside list that was embossed can be used to write to 'whom' you have sent a card to...cards and or envelopes for them can be held in the other pocket. I reinforced the pocket with chipboard to make sure it would be strong. Matting and papering adds to the strength. OR.... you can set this piece out for the holidays and use it to hold all those Christmas Cards you will receive rather than tape them to the door or mantle. Use the center piece to record who you received cards from....as I mentioned a definite keepsake that is very functional.

 

 

Removing the cards I had inside the pockets I wanted to show how the inside of the folio is decorated. I matted some of the large cut a parts and adhered one to each of folio sides. I love the vintage look. The roomy pockets are embellished also with cut a parts that are matted and punched decoratively.

 

 

The center of the folio has a sturdy pen holder that is big enough to hold not one but 2 pens to use on that center list. I embossed the Dear Santa using those cool Embossing Pens and Red Embossing Powder. Makes the words 'pop' and sparkle...and the cool thing with those pens, if you aren't comfortable with your own writing, trace over some words you like and then emboss.......voila! Looks like you wrote it yourself!! Fun fun fun!!
