Western Wedding Album  (order)

Yeeeeehaaaaw! What a fun album to create! This order was for a western themed wedding album and to use some of the turquoise ribbon she supplied. I used 3 different collections to make this album and am so happy to say she loved it! I also incorporated a side magnetic closure which allowed the front cover to be entirely exposed and free to decorate. This is another option for closures rather than the 'standard' and I find it to be pleasing.

The front cover shows it papered in such a pretty pattern with weathered wood and a stenciled 'Sweet Love' sentiment. I applied a large turquoise handmade cross I found at an antique shop. I surrounded it with handmade flowers from some of the papers used in the album. The centers are golden beads. I also used a brooch in the top let corner that looked old fashioned to me and I thought it went well.....it has a clock inside it and a cut glass topping. Some of the turquoise ribbon is tied in a bow on top of the brooch and a few sprigs woven in the flowers. On the bottom right, there are more of the handmade flowers on top of a shred of wide lace and that completes the cover. Of course the album is inked with Vintage Photo which I love how it lends to the old time look.

The spine is embellished with a bookplate which frames the sentiment 'Cherish'.

A little closer look at the bookplate.

Side magnetic closure tied off with a pretty turquoise sheer ribbon.

The back of the album with my stamp on it.

The inside front cover and page 1.

The inside front cover and the inside of the magnetic closure flap.

The inside of the front cover is decorated with a wedding certificate. I like to include one of these in a wedding album, as it can be completely filled out with all the information as well as the witnesses signatures and the 'officiant'. How cool to have this certificate filled out and it is permanently attached to the album for safe keeping. A permanent record always with the wonderful photo memories.

Page 1. A handmade large envelope that holds a large matted card resides here at the beginning of the album. My thought for this is whom ever is gifting this album to the bride and groom could write a 'personal' note to them and it would be kept securely in the envelope out of sight. It would be perhaps hopes and wishes for the newlyweds and it would be for their eyes only. I decorated the envelope with a brass cow skull that is adorned with turquoise flowers and lace on the horns. A turquoise ribbon completes the look. I fashioned a closure for the envelope out of the cardstock and patterned paper, so to open or close the envelope flap merely slide it out from behind the placket. A lacey paper served as the base.

A close up of the cow skull embellishment....pretty 'western' cool!

The card inside the envelope.

This page has a large side pull mat/tag. Plenty of space on these for photos and/or journaling. I have alternated the giant mat/tags between top pull and side pull. Ribbons serve as the pulls on these.

Pages 2 & 3.

Page 2. Some good old fashioned mason jars along with some diamond gems make up this page.

Removing the inter-active magnetic card to show it's versatility. Since it has a magnet inside, it will allow you to move this anywhere you want and by draping it over a bellyband, it will stay firmly in place. It can also be used to hold photos or other tag/mats.

Open that magnetic card and it is also papered.

Removing the card shows the large pocket that is embellished with ribbon and jewels. A pretty blinged heart atop the black ribbon on the left and heart shaped jewels on the bottom right finish the pocket. There is a diamond shaped flap that slides out of the pocket to hold yet more photos or momentoes.

Open the flap and the mason jars are a plenty! Fill that pocket with photos, journaling or momentoes and close the flap by tucking back inside the pocket to keep everything snug.

Page 3. Delicate and pretty the base page is made up of intricate doilies. I put a side cut pocket adorned with a piece of embroidered lace to set it off. Inside the pocket you will find a mat/tag and a booklet. These are both embellished with embroidered lace.

The mat/tag and the booklet. The mat/tag sentiment says 'Best Day Ever' and the booklet says 'I Love to Love You'.

Inter-actives back in place and the giant mat/tag pulled part way to show.

Pages 4 & 5. Lots of inter-actives on these two pages.

Page 4. This page is based in chicken wire paper. I have embellished the bottom pocket with paper wrapped wire and fashioned it into a dimensional bow. Below that bow is a cool old time looking cross with a pearl center. It is white washed and looks so very olden day. Above is actually a tri-fold waterfall. I tied an embroidered lace piece on it for adornment.

A close up of the heart and paper wire bow embellishments.

Lifting the tri-fold waterfall and inside the pocket you will find 2 matted tags saying 'The Groom' & 'The Bride'. On the bottom of them, I have made a space for a note to be added. Next to it, is a sweet booklet that is glittered up and embellished with a shiny star brad and embroidered piece of lace.

Just a pretty page with a saw tooth top on the pocket will hold a lot of photos and momentoes.

I apologize for this photo being sideways.....this is the tri-fold waterfall opened....so tilt your head to the right and picture this being opened to the top.  ;-)   In the very top of it, there is a small bottom corner pocket that holds a rustic matted tag. The tag has golden brads in all corners and the look of a stripped cardboard heart. A sweet ribbon pull finishes it.

The heart matted tag out of it's pocket

Page 5. 'You will forever be my always' is the sentiment on this magnetic top flap. A nice ribbon to the right is simple but effective to finish it.

Lift the top magnetic flap and there are 2 gatefold flaps.

Open the gatefold flaps and pretty base pages are holding a sparkling scenic booklet. The base paper sentiment is 'You will forever be my always'.

Inside the scenic booklet you will find a pretty golden and black banner that is also a pocket to hold 2 smaller tags.

Everything back in place and the side pull super large mat/tag is pulled part way to expose.

Pages 6 & 7. Can't get much more western than these pages.

Page 6. It just wouldn't be 'western' without a cowboy boot! This boot is dimensional and embellishes the fold over pocket. There are two golden stars to balance it out on the other side. The paper kind of reminds me of tooled leather. Inside the pocket, resides a large booklet and a large mat/tag.

Removing the booklet and tag shows the beautiful base paper.

The booklet and tag from the pocket.

Inside the booklet there is a pretty golden heart and arrow set against a wooden background.

Page 7. This page has lots of turquoise in the paper and ribbons. A bellyband and a bottom stop/pocket hold a large booklet. Over the bellyband a magnetic booklet hangs over the band. The magnet allows it to 'snap' closed keeping it tightly in place. It can be used elsewhere in the album just snap it in place. The bottom stop/pocket has 3 golden stars. The ribbons used on this page are all turquoise.

The booklet and magnetic booklet from the bellyband. A set of wedding rings in white glitter show nicely on the magnetic booklet. On the large booklet a clear  tag with 'love' hangs freely on the front.

Inside the booklets.......the larger one is also a tag holder with 2 more tags inside the bottom corner pocket.

Giant mat/tag with top pull.

Pages 8 & 9.

Page 8. This page has the turquoise papers and a large saw tooth pocket. The pocket is embellished with black ribbons and a turquoise emblazoned key.

The goodies from inside the saw tooth pocket. A large matted tag and a large square matted tag that has a turquoise colored clip that holds a picture mat. Each corner is punched to 'fancy' it up a bit.

The large tag is actually a tag BOOKLET. Inside is a bellyband and bottom stop that holds another matted tag. It has a golden star to embellish it.

A close up of the colored clip and the turquoise 'winged' key embellishement.

Page 9. I love this page. The dogwood blooms against the wood background just screams rustic. This page is inter-active with a booklet on top of the base page. 'Love' is popped up on the booklet and white satin and sheer ribbon completes it.

Open the booklet and there is a lacey rippled pocket. Inside the pocket is another BOOKLET! So pretty!

The booklet is so pretty and has the beautiful flowers and sparkly glitter to set it off. The sentiment reads 'Every Love Story Is Beautiful But Ours Is My Favorite'.

Open the booklet and inside is another pocket with interlocking hearts. Inside the pocket is a pretty card with a small journaling spot on the bottom of it.

On the next page of the booklet is a side pocket that holds a sweet matted tag.

The mat/tag from the side pocket. Gotta' love those rustic grapevine wreaths.

Turn the page again and you have the pretty pretty base page with lots of space for photos and adorned with a pretty white ribbon down the side.

The giant side pull mat/tag shown partially exposed.

Page 10 & 11.

Page 10. This page is also very inter-active. There is a bottom corner pocket embellished with interlocking hearts and ribbon and the sentiment 'Today I married my best friend'.

Open the flap and you will find a pocket and under that flap are 2 mat/tags inside the bottom pocket.

The sweet card from inside the flap pocket comes alive with the glittered LOVE sentiment.

Again I must apologize for the sideways photo. The inside of the 'love' card is a pocket with 2 cute tags.

The base page reads 'Dreams come true'.

The mat/tags from the base page pocket. Nice size with sentiments saying 'Our Story is just beginning' and the other 'LOVE'. Side ribbon pulls on both.

Page 11. The cool western cowboy boot makes another appearance. This page houses 2 envelopes of 2 different sizes. They are kept closed with turquoise ribbons that match the ribbon on the base page.

Inside the envelopes are cards that I think would be perfect for maybe the best man and maid of honor to pen a sweet note or offer some life suggestions for the bride and groom. They can then be closed back in the envelope and out of sight for privacy that only the newlyweds can access.

A top pull giant mat/tag is partially  exposed to show.

Page 12 & the inside of the back cover.

Yes, my very favorite technique of all time as you all know if the waterfall. So, I do include at least one in every album. For such a small space, this waterfall can house 12 photos being 4x6. Untie the ribbon bow to access the mats.

The inside of the back cover and flap is papered with a beautiful flower landscape. There is a wooden sign saying 'Forever Begins Today'. Such pretty pretty paper.
