I am so excited to share this album with you because I have used a 'new' closure on this album that Tamra Merrill and I have been working on for several weeks now to 'perfect'. I am so happy with the way it turned out and the customer was as well. This top magnetic flap closure will allow this album to be displayed and/or stored standing up if you would like which also allows for more dimensional embellishments on those pages that won't be compromised when the album is closed. LOVE IT! I love putting in lots of inter-actives and dimensional elements in my albums and just think it makes for a special fun album that definitely could never be considered 'dull' or 'boring'. Each page offers the element of surprise and makes you want to see what's next. Soooo, check it out folks!
This is the front cover. The customer requested the Bride and Grooms names and wedding date to placed somewhere on the front cover.......so, I have put them on moveable narrow matted slips that are attached with a jeweled brad and pop dotted to the album. A pretty sheer royal blue ribbon adorns the magnetic top flap closure along with handmade flowers from some of the papers I used in the album. Sparkly glittered green leaves (which the customer asked for royal blue with green peppered in) set off the flowers. I used pearl centers for the flowers. On the bottom you can see there is a pocket with a sweet sentiment running across the front of it. It will be exposed once the top flap is opened. That top magnetic flap keeps this album closed nicely and securely but allows for photos and momentos to be added.
A photo of the album lying down as well.
Voila! Opening that top flap reveals the pages inside and the bottom pocket on the front cover. Inside that pocket is a large matted tag. On the inside of the top flap, I have hard mounted 2 matted tags to dress it up a bit.
The front cover with the flap 'flipped' to the back. The large matted tag is accessible now. The bride and grooms names are on it along with the wedding date. A pretty white ribbon finishes it off.
The card out of it's pocket.... what a perfect place to perhaps put their engagement photo on the back.
The base page has a sparkly glittered beautiful chandelier and plenty of space for a beautiful wedding photo.
Inside cover and page 1. I love how this album came together.
The inside cover has a corner pocket that holds a nice size mat/tag with a great wedding sentiment. Royal Blue ribbons were used to embellish the pocket and the mat/tag.
Mat/tag out of the pocket.
The inside cover 'flap' is opened to reveal a very useable wedding certificate! How cool to have it filled out and it is hard mounted so it is part of this album forever. No chance of misplacing it or it getting ruined, safe and secure in this keepsake.
A little better photo of the marriage certificate.
Page 1. This page has a pretty handmade envelope with a decorative holder that keeps the envelope flap closed. The page is decorated with a pretty sheer green ribbon and linking hearts.
Inside the envelope is a pretty polka dot card.
What a perfect place to write a note to the bride and groom and with it being in the envelope, it's kept private and isn't on public display.
This page has a top load large mat/tag. In this album, I alternated top load and side load mat/tags. Plenty of space to add photos and/or lots of journaling.
Pages 2 & 3.
Page 2. I made another envelope for this page and hard mounted it as well. The decorative holder that keeps the envelope flap closed coordinates with the page paper. Linking hearts and a pretty ribbon adorn this page.
Such a pretty paper for the envelope...the card inside this envelope would be the perfect place for perhaps the maid of honor and best man to write a note to the bride and groom. Keeping it safe and secure inside the envelope for only them to see.
Card inside the envelope with a piece of the base page paper to decorate it.
Page 3. This is a pocket page decorated with handmade flowers and a bit of lace. The sentiment 'with this ring I thee wed' is actually a magnetic flap which will hold anything you put in that pocket.
Open that magnetic flap and you will expose the pocket. On the inside of the flap are the recurring joined hearts and set of wedding rings in the paper. On the pocket I have embellished it with a bit of pretty lace. The handmade flowers are made using some of the papers from the album and I also put some pretty white leaves. The centers of these flowers are golden elements.
The mat/tag is a great size for a 4x6 photo with a ribbon pull.
A close up of the handmade flowers.
This page has a side pull mat/tag super large to accommodate pictures and/or journaling.
Pretty, pretty, pretty.
Pages 4 & 5. This album flowed together so easily, I love how it turned out.
Page 4, don't you love that beautiful flower on that background paper?! I didn't want to cover it up, so I put a bottom corner pocket that holds 3 mat/tags with white ribbon pulls. The pocket has a matching white ribbon with a metal heart hanging from it. I added pretty filigree metal corners to the page and a wavy matted sentiment that reads "Two hearts that beat as one". The sentiment is held in place with tiny heart brads and small pop dots.
The small matted tags are made from papers I used in the album.
A close up of the wavy sentiment.
Page 5. This page has a top magnetic flap that is gussied up with some punched lace. The interlocking hearts are here as well.
Under that flap you find a booklet/card that is held securely there.
The inside of the card is actually a tag holder that holds 2 more tags. The holder states 'Love never ends' and is adorned with tiny golden hearts. The ribbon pulls on the tags are sheer green.
The top load giant mat/tag is pulled part way to show.
Pages 6 & 7.
Page 6. This page has a magnetic top flap that holds a large booklet/card.
Under that flap you will find that large booklet/card adorned with a pretty white ribbon and a sentiment "Dreams really do come true". The matting is a punched lace.
Inside the card is plenty of space to put a precious picture of the bride. Perfect place to focus on her.
Page 7. This page has the pretty wedding cake as the base paper, so on the bottom I placed a small corner pocket that holds 2 mat/tags. Across the top of the page is a pretty border that reads "love - adore- cherish" and there is a pretty bow tied ribbon that holds a metal heart and key. The border piece also has two small golden hearts on each side. The mats/tags are embellished also, one with a solid metal heart and one with a pretty ribbon.
mats/tags from the bottom corner pocket.
Side pull giant mat/tag pulled part way to expose.
Pages 8 & 9.
Page 8 has two magnetic flaps with wedding sentiments. The base page is decorated with a royal blue ribbon and the linking hearts.
Open the flaps and on the backside you will find they are also mat/tag holders. A nice area on the base page can hold a beautiful large photo, or multiple smaller ones.
The mats/tags from the flap pockets.
Page 9. Such a glittery page! The bouquet is full of glittery accents and the dimensional flower is also glittered as are the leaves.
The top flap is held closed with the bow tied green sheer ribbon. Such a pretty page.
Giant top load mat/tag on this page pulled part way to expose.
Pages 10 & 11. Inter-actives of course.
Page 10. This page holds 2 nice size mats/tags and are actually inside the page itself. I used the band across the paper to make in to a pocket. I added a sentiment 'cherish * Love * adore' to the top which is pop dotted to give dimension. The mats/tags have ribbon pulls and a matching ribbon runs along the side.
The mats/tags from the page pocket.
Page 11. This page has a side magnetic flap embellished with a pretty sheer ribbon and a golden heart with an arrow applied to the top of it.
Open the side flap and the base page reveals the old fashioned 'vows'.
This page has the side pull large mat/tag.
Page 12 and the inside back cover.
Page 12 holds my all time favorite technique the 'waterfall'. I love making them, I love how they can hold so many photos in such a small area and I love how they look as they actually seem to embellish a page on their own. This waterfall is held closed with a pretty royal blue ribbon tied up in a pretty bow. I also included on this waterfall a wavy matted sentiment that reads " Two souls with but a single heart".
The inside back cover has a nice size side pocket which is embellished with the linking hearts and white ribbon. Inside the pocket is a booklet and mat/tag.
The booklet and mat/tag from the pocket.
The inside back cover, top spine and top flap closure.
