This is a handmade book box and file folder mini album I made for a swap.

The book box was an added surprise I made to go along with the file folder mini.... I didn't have a pattern or use a tutorial for it, I just dove right in and it worked out well.

The file folder mini was a first of that style for me as well. It was really easy and fun to make and different in the sense it used no hinges.

Working on 'Valentine pages' for a swap..... although we haven't gotten through Thanksgiving or Christmas yet....but that's ok, I'd rather be ahead of the game than rushing around at the end. I also finished my 'file folder mini' and mailed it out already, I will be posting pics tomorrow since my swap partner will receive them tomorrow and I won't take the chance of ruining the surprise.

This evening I am sharing my Novembers Design Team Project for Country Craft Creations In Hooper. I received in my kit October Afternoon Public Library collection. I created a Reverse  Canvas Shadowbox for my granddaughter who is 7 and an avid reader. She adores books and also loves to scrap. I'm sure she is going to love this one.

I incorporated a little mini booklet inside the shadowbox that can be removed and used to journal or makes notes or whatever she decides to write in it.

I am also posting the video showing it in detail via youtube. Enjoy! Here is the link:

Here are pics of the Christmas ATCs I did or a swap. I also made a box to keep them in as a surprise.

Here is a pic of each one: This is 'Angelic' This card is framed with a wooden 'frame', the hanging stars were stickled with gold. The angel was fussy cut and popped up after being Glossy Accented.

Next we have: 'Oh Christmas Tree' Tree has gold beads for ornaments and tiny candy canes wired together. The skirt is adorned with Glossy Accents

The third one is: 'Night Before Christmas'. This one has a shaker box and the stars are all Glossy Accented

The last one is: 'Here Comes Santa'  Santa is holding a swinging free tag hanging on a red and gold piece of twine and the date in the corner was fussy cut and the 25 pop dotted and Glossy Accented to stand out.

The box was made using the box punch board: I dyed some seam binding to make a nice red ribbon and inked it to tone it down and make it a bit more rustic
