Today I would like to share my newest Design Team Project I made for Country Craft Creations. I used Echo Park 'The Story of Fall', Echo Park 'Fall Collection Kit Dots and Stripes' & Echo Park 'Chipboard Accents' to make this creation. Hurry though, they have been selling pretty quick as they are great to use for Fall, Thanksgiving and or Halloween projects.
What a fun fun project this was to make from start to finish! I think the fall colors and patterns in this collection are just so easy to work with, so I wanted to make sure I did something a little bit different.
This is actually two (2) 8 X 10 canvases that have been hinged together to create a booklet holder as you will see. There are two metal hinges on the left side that puts the 2 canvases together perfectly and allows them to open and close just as a book would. I used modeling paste to smooth over the staples on the canvas backs, then I painted over it with a cream colored acrylic paint. Next, I inked the edges in Vintage Photo (my favorite color to use). I used the cool Echo Park paper collection to paper the canvases and applied a pocket on the front. I used several of the chipboard pieces for dimension and Glossy Accent on them to really pop them out! Handmade flowers from the paper collection along with some dried flower accents was added to enhance the front cover.

Inside the front cover pocket are the above 2 mats/tags and a booklet that has a handmade flower on it as well. Inside that booklet is another tag holder side pocket and another mat/tag in that pocket. Lots of space for pictures and or journaling.
On the booklet, there are 'water droplet' on the pumpkin an flower for a little added somethin' somethin'. :-)

On the opposite side edges I put a keyhole and key metal embellishment. The holder stays closed nicely so it is just to add a little extra dressing up.

Opening the holder you can see in the center the silver hinges holding it together. Inside I have papered it in the cool Dots and Stripes patterned paper in the Echo Park Collection. I made some coordinating corners to add some interest. The 'cut out' that the reversed canvases provide is perfect to hold a cool folio! On the left, I have inserted matted tags that can be removed and used for journaling or photos and then slipped back in and held securely in place by sliding right under the edges. On the right side, the folio is nested perfectly in place.

The folio has a chipboard cover and spine and is papered with the same Echo Park Collection. It is also inked along with the embellishments so everything flows nicely together. There are dimensional chipboard embellishments along with more of the handmade flowers. Glossy Accents was used to highlight some of the embellishments and to provide the water droplets.
Open up the folio and voila! A pocket on the left with some mats/tags and decorated with a chipboard embellishment and white ribbon. On the right my favorite....a cool fall waterfall! This waterfall will hold a total of 13 pictures! How cool is that!!!
