Valentine Lip Gloss Holder DT project for Scraperfect

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing with you a quick and easy (but nice and clever) project that would make a perfect little gift for a Valentine Party at school or for the teachers. If using for the kids parties, 'chapstick' could be used for both the boys and girls. The teachers would most likely appreciate that also or the lip gloss.

Here is a picture of the materials I used on this project:

Several of these could be made fairly quick, and would also be a nice item to take to a craft fair.

I kept this one with the Valentine theme, and embossed the hearts and the handwritten word 'Love'. I pop dotted the matted embossed pieces to give it some dimension. Ribbon tied up in a bow keeps the card closed nicely.

Untie the ribbon, and inside the lip gloss is held perfectly in place. I also embellished the inside with another embossed heart AND on the other page I put a little pocket on the bottom that holds 3 cute little tags.

The sweet little tags have a punched heart topper on them, and are perfect to add a sentiment, a note and who this little gift is from.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out this project. I hope I have inspired you to make some of these cool little 'gift cards'. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line. I will be posting more projects, so come back often.

Valentine/Love Explosion Box

My Design Team Project using Bo Bunnys Isabella Collection also worked out well for my swap project. This collection was easy to use for this piece and flowed together nicely. I was pleased with the end result of a soft sweet piece that also holds a surprise for my swap partner.

The lid is decorated with black lacey ribbon, tags and a cupid charm. They hang down to add some additional interest to the box and give it an interactive feel.

Once opened, the box falls away to reveal the cute little heart box inside. Inside the heart box chocolates are hiding..... gotta' have chocolates for the special day.

These are the inside pages/panels of the explosion box. I made sure there was plenty of interactives.... tags, booklets and YES a waterfall. I love to incorporate as much as I can in the boxes, so they can hold several pictures and/or journaling. The Isabella collection made this explosion box easy to decorate and embellish with its soft colors and patterns. Such a sweet feminine piece, I was happy with. I will post a video link at the bottom of the page to check out this project in more detail.

Color Lab by Marion Smith

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VN0-DjsQNhE&feature=youtu.be

Check out the video I made using the Color Lab system by Marion Smith. It's pretty cool, since you can make any color 'mist' you can think of, you are only limited by your own imagination. I've shown you in this video, how to dye seam binding using the Color Lab, which I use a lot in my projects. How cool to be able to create any color you want or need rather than trying to find one to purchase ready made. Enjoy the video and stop in again, as I will have more posted soon.

Good morning everyone! What a beautiful sunny day today. Some folks may be off today in honor of MLK Day, perhaps you will squeeze in some time to make something wonderful today. I will be posting another project later today or tomorrow morning that I completed for my DT project at Country Crafts Creations. This project was also made for someone in the Valentine Explosion Box Swap over at Mini Albums and More; do stop in and hang out for a lot of inspiration and great ladies with loads of talent. Liv (my 7 year old granddaughter and side kick) will be with me today since she is off school, so I think we will do a lot of dusting and cleaning today.....no fun you say? I know.............but she loves to help and does an amazing job and we like to work together. Once finished, we can head to our favorite spot and do some serious crafting. Liv is finishing up a Hello Kitty Mini Album she started last summer. She is so creative and I love her visions. Olivia already has her sight set on her next project: Princess Mini Album. I will post pics of her finished projects soon. Since I have rambled on enough for now, it's time to get moving and be constructive.......sooooo will catch you all later!

Sweet Mini Wallet

I made this mini wallet for the Design Team at Scraperfect. I used the Best Glue Ever & Scraperfect Foils to add accents. Valentines Day is fast approaching, so I thought this would be cute to hold pics and or valentines.

Inside there are two pocket pages that also hold cute little tags. Plenty of space is still available to house pictures or valentine cards.

This is the backside. It folds nice and neat and is kept closed using a small Basic Grey magnet.

Thanks for stopping by, and if you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line.

Exploding Mini Album

This may appear to be a 'normal' explosion box, but I assure you it's far from it. I used Bo Bunnys Isabella collection and made this for the Design Team at Country Craft Creations. The lid has handles to lift it off with ease although this creation is substantial. I will include a link to the youtube video so you can see it in greater detail at the bottom of this post.

Inside, you will find 2 expanding files (one on each of the wide panels), a complete mini album with many pockets, tags and mats, a waterfall on one of the narrow panels and a belly band holding a tri-fold booklet on the other narrow panel. I told you it was loaded!

This baby is packed with so much space to house pictures and momentos. Check out my video on youtube to see more of this creation. Comments are always welcomed.

Huge Pocket Tag

This is a Design Team project for Scraperfect using their products: Best Glue Ever and Embellie Gellie.

I had hear a lot about those products and couldn't wait to try them. Well folks, they did indeed live up to their reputation! The Best Glue Ever has amazing strength and for sure a little goes a very long way. The Embellie Gellie is supposed to make it easy to use small embellishments such as beads, rhinestones etc, and again, it worked out perfectly.

See those teeny tiny purple rhinestones on that bouquet she's holding? Well, using the Embellie Gellie to place them made it a breeze....otherwise, her flowers wouldn't have been 3D I'm sure.

Note the tiny amount of glue used...........and believe me, everything stuck like crazy and fast!

Next came making the flower............... this was made from cutting circles out of polyester then heating it up to 'shrivel' it up to the desired size and look. Saw this on youtube..... very cool results.
I colored it with a spritz of colored mist I made and let it dry...took a couple of stitches to put them together and inked it to age it some...... and below is the final result with a little embellishment in the center from a dismantled old bracelet. Seam binding was misted and inked ad attached to the back and voila!

I fussy cut the girls and popped them up for dimension. Next I added a band with another piece of that bracelet to hold a sweet tag. The pocket holds a booklet and inside that booklet is a tiny booklet held in place by a stopper and on the other page is a couple of tags in their stopper. The flower and 'ribbons' were attached and I left the tails curly and some long.

I hope you enjoy this project, and if you have any questions, drop me a line or post here. You can find the Best Glue Ever and Embellie Gellie at www.Scraperfect.com   check it out it's a must have!
