Design Team Project using Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady Collection
What a fabulous collection this is folks! Typical Graphic 45, beautiful graphics and the theme is just stunning. This is an 8X8 mini album with lots of space inside for those all important photos. The cover is papered with the beautiful pattern papers from the collection and one of the graphic pieces was cut to fit perfectly on the front cover. I used flat back pearls to accent that gorgeous picture of the young lady and the flowers. Down the left side is a belly band that will also hold those special photos and is set off with some tiny dotted swiss sheer ribbon and a matted cut a part from the collection. The album is also all inked in a non smear sepia ink to stay within the vintage look.
Inside the album cover I have created a large pleated/accordion pocket with a magnetic closure flap.
The pocket is embellished with a pretty colored seam binding ribbon that matches the collection perfectly. Inside there is so much space for lots and lots of photos, cards, tags, notes, letters or other memorabilia. The large matted tag shows how large that pocket is.
This page is so pretty and so full. There are 2 independent pockets that have magnetic closures to safely and securely hold photos in place. Papered in the gorgeous pattern papers from the collection the pockets are really a stand out.
The pockets will hold several photos and tags nice and secure.
Flip the pockets and on the backs are places for additional photos to be placed. The next portion of that page has a bottom corner pocket made from one of the matted cut a parts. Inside there are 2 large beautiful pieces from the ephemera pack in the collection.
Contents of the pocket.
Each page has a large side pocket that holds a giant matted tag. This tag is large enough to hold either a large picture or some smaller ones with plenty of space to journal.
Turning the page, you will find a beautiful papered page with a bottom lacey pocket embellished with a pretty coordinating colored seam binding ribbon.
The pretty lacey pocket holds a pretty little booklet that also holds a small tag and a matted cut a part. This pocket will hold many many more photo mats.
This page is also inter-active. The top layer has a magnetic pocket adorned with a pretty scalloped punched sticker.
This pocket will hold several photos. Inside there is a piece of ephemera.
Turn the flap and on the backside there is a cool embellished belly band. A chipboard tag from the collection with a seam binding pull adorns the band.
A piece of ephemera resides behind the belly band.
A bottom corner pocket on this page holds 2 ephemera pieces that are just beautiful. A matted cut a part embellishes the pocket.
The giant side pull matted tag is pulled part way to expose.
One of my favorite pages and techniques I the gatefold.
Opening the gatefold shows lots and lots of photos space. A bottom lacey pocket embellished with a pretty sticker from the collection holds 2 large pieces of ephemera.
The bottom corner pocket on the facing page is large enough to accommodate lots of photos or more of the photo/journaling tags. The huge matted side pull tag shown partially pulled.
More inter-actives on these pages.
This page has a cool magnetic flap that has a beautiful ephemera piece on both sides of the flap. Under the flap is another large pretty ephemera piece held perfectly in place with the magnet.
This page is another of my favorite techniques.... a waterfall. This sideways waterfall is magnetic and is adorned with a pretty coordinating seam binding ribbon tied up in a pretty bow.
I love the waterfalls.... there is so much space in such a small area. The waterfalls provide so much area for photos and I try to include one in every album I do.
These pages are (you guess it) inter-active. I just find that element of surprise on every page something to look forward too. Not knowing what to expect makes every turn of the page exciting!
A large wide belly band on this page holds a pretty booklet that also has a belly band inside that holds a pretty ephemera piece.
This page has a magnetic flap that when opened reveals a matted fussy cut pretty lady that also serves as a corner stop. That stop holds a large piece of ephemera and will also hold more photos.
the large side pull matted tag pulled part way to expose.
Gorgeous papers in this collection!
This page has a large bottom pocket that is adorned with a coordinating colored seam binding and a beautiful sticker from the collection. Inside this pocket are 2 large ephemera pieces perfect for larger photos and journaling.
I love this piece I cut from the pattern paper. So feminine and beautiful. I edged the right side with a pretty lace and didn't want to cover this page with anything else. The large side pull matted tag is partially pulled to show.
Last page and inside of back cover.
A fussy cut and matted strip of vintage photos serves as the side stop to hold the large piece of ephemera. Several more photos can be held in that side pocket.
The inside of the back cover mirrors the inside of the front cover with a large magnetic pleated/accordion pocket. It is adorned with a pretty coordinating seam binding ribbon and with the magnetic closure keeps the contents safe and secure.
