Good Morning folks! I am so excited! I have a huge package on it's way to me, filled with some of the coolest collections I've ever had the chance to work with from Authentique!!!! I also am getting some of their cardstock to check out and had no idea they carried, but it is evidently available in SEVERAL colors...now that's very cool. Their cardstock of course matches the color schemes of their papers so no worries there in trying to get a 'coordinating' cardstock for those projects that truly demands it. I can't wait to dive in to it all and share the creations I come up with, so check back often as I will definitely be posting them here!!!! Authentique has really been producing some fabulous collections and they are fast becoming the must haves..............so stay tuned ladies....... I can't wait to share!!!

Design Team Project for Country Craft Creations using the Authentique Cuddle Girl Collection
What a fun collection to work with! The feminine colors and patterns make for the perfect collection to create that special album for that special little princess.
I have created a different type of album that also has a momento box on top. The handmade box on top is stationary and is papered inside and out, the size is ample to store those baby bands and mom's hospital bands, locks of hair from the first hair cut and other items that are important and you wish to keep safely in that box along with the album. Everything in it's place and all together, makes for an easy keepsake. Embellished with ribbons, resin flowers, die cuts, sparkly gems and a booklet on top (complete with a magnetic closure) makes the box really stand out.
The album that it sets on, has a magnetic bottom closure with a sweet metal handle for easy opening.
The top of the momento box showing the booklet open and the sweet little file folder shaped matted tag inside. Photos and/or journaling would be great here.
A closer look at the magnetic bottom closure flap and the sweet metal pull.
Open the album as this is a top load album and all the fun is revealed. On the inside top cover there is a handmade envelope embellished with a pretty pink seam binding ribbon and a 'slice' of an antique wooden childs block. (I pick these up anytime I find them at antique shops and flea markets). A triple matted sentiment cardstock sticker is used to keep the envelope securely closed.
A closer look at the envelope and the handmade card inside. I have embellished the card with a sweet sentiment cardstock sticker I matted and used some pretty rose colored brads. I love to add a handmade envelope in my albums, as I feel it's a great place to pen a personal note/letter to the recipient for their eyes only or to write an endearing letter to that baby with your feelings of joy and hopes and wishes for their future. It tucks privately back in the envelope out of plain view.
I LOVE adding a waterfall to my albums. So much space for those photos and/or journaling and it takes up such a small area. This waterfall however is a bit different, as it's made up of all 12 months for the first important year in the baby's life. I have spread them out in 4 month batches throughout the album. Months 1 through 4 in this bunch is tied up securely in a pretty pink ribbon. Untie to expose the ample space to record those milestones for each month. A perfect place to document those very important moments and keep them all together in one beautiful album. This base page is embellished also with a pretty white doily and there are also thumb pulls provided on each page. Side load large matted tags with their sweet scalloped pulls can be found in each and every page.
This page has a nice long side pocket embellished with pink ribbon, pink pretty roses and a tiny matted rattle tag with a curly wire pull. The paper on this page is sweet Lullaby pattern with the side pocket holding a booklet. Punched in a scallop pattern to match the punched side pocket scallop it fits in nicely. Inside the booklet there is a bottom stop that holds a sweet little sentiment matted tag.
Fun, Fun, Fun!!! I love this pattern, the colorful rocking horses!! Too cute!!!! This page holds the next set of monthly recording cards that have been made in to a waterfall to take advantage of the small footprint it takes up. The page also has a pretty pink ribbon running down the side. This waterfall is held closed with a magnetic band closure. A sweet sweet resin pink flower finishes the closure. Look at all the space to record those milestones for months 5 through 8. Lots of important moments will take place during these months, and a perfect place to enter them. The pretty side load matted large tag can be seen sticking out the thumb pull.
This page is also inter-active and to start offers up a decorated flap with a side pocket, inside you will find the pretty matted tag with rocking horse.
Turn the flap page and underneath you will find a nice large bottom pocket adorned with a cute matted cardstock sticker. Inside the pocket you will find a large matted tag and a smaller cute little matted tag. The side pull large matted tag can be seen pulled part way out.
This page I used a multi-colored stripe from the collection to paper the base page. I set it off with a pretty sheer sparkly yellow ribbon to pick up some of the yellow in the paper. I again used some of the antique wooden block slices and matted them on corresponding colored cardstock which was then matted again on white.
Each of the numbers are on flip up flaps and upon raising the flap, you can make some notes on the under side. The large matted side load matted tag is shown partially exposed.
The last of the 4 month set waterfall can be found on this page. 9 through 12 months with the backsides perfect for recording the milestones associated with these months. Safe and secure and held by a pretty pink seam binding ribbon, you can find all those records with just untying the ribbon. The large side load matted tag is shown partially pulled with it's handy scalloped pull and the thumb pull is easy to see on the page side. Sweet rocking horses and checked coordinating papers make for a pretty page. The waterfalls through out are matted with papers from the collection.
Sweet floral printed paper is used on this page, along with a stationary card that is inter-active. Sparkly pink ribbon and a cardstock sticker from the collection adorns the front of the card. The pretty heart holds the card closed. Open the card and inside there is space for a couple of pictures and/or journaling. The heart also makes for a nice embellishment on the inside.
More inter-actives here with a magnetic flap adorned with die cuts, a cute little pig sliced from one of antique wooden blocks and a green satin ribbon. Open the flap and there is a pocket on the inside of the flap which is decorated with light and open die cuts. A nice size matted tag is also inside that pocket. On the exposed base page, beautiful colorful pattern paper was used from the collection. A belly band dressed up with rose colored brads and a scalloped matted heart finishes off the band. Pretty green ribbon finishes off the page. A nice size sentiment matted tag is held behind the belly band. More and more opportunity for added photos.
This page is colorful and pretty with the white floral seam binding ribbon across the top. A roomy bottom pocket punched with a coordinating scalloped edge punch decorates that pocket. Inside the pocket are 2 nice ephemera cards that I have attached a small scalloped pull. I didn't mat these, as the backsides have useable space and info.
This page is very inter-active. First let me just say, I had a cute block slice already attached and decided I wanted to use the adorable horse instead, well I didn't want to ruin the page by trying to remove it, so I added the horse on top of the other one....well...silly me, put it on upside down...grrrrr. I may try to heat it up with my heat gun and remove it....but I'm afraid it will damage the bottom block....so we shall see.
This pocket page has a sweet sparkly ribbon tied up in a bow, but that bow keeps an actual booklet closed. So this is a booklet page. The bottom pocket holds 2 matted good size tags with pretty yellow ribbon pulls.
Open the bow tied flap page and you will find an embellished bottom stop that holds another booklet. Inside the booklet a cute sentiment: Handle with Care. More and more picture space here.
The facing booklet page Is papered in a pretty plaid from the collection, such pretty papers in this collection to choose from! There is a stationary booklet embellished with a cute matted 'Love' cardstock sticker. Inside yet more space for photos and/or journaling. Behind the stationary booklet are 2 matted tags with pink ribbon pulls that slide right behind and stay nicely in place.
Turn the next page in the booklet and you will find on the backside of the flap and bottom stop which holds another cute booklet. I tried to put in lots of places in this album to hold all the many many photos of that precious little one. The actual base page has a large roomy bottom pocket that holds 2 of the ephemera cards that I attached scalloped pulls. I did not mat these, as they too have useable backsides for recording important pieces of information. A pretty pink ribbon does the page justice I think.
First I'd like to say please excuse the lighting on some of these photos, even editing them, the coloring on some is bizarre!!! Sorry!! The colors of the pattern papers in this collection are beautiful and subtle. This page seems to be a bit 'wowza' in the editing department... :-O Ok, I matted a pretty white doily and made it into a pocket. A matted cardstock sticker adds a bit of pop to that pocket as does the pink seam binding ribbon. In that pocket is a pretty booklet papered with the adorable Lullaby pattern paper.
A magnetic side flap with a pretty lacey edge and tied up with a sweet transparent yellow ribbon make for an inter-active page. Life the flap and the adorable base page has a bottom matted stop which holds another sweet booklet. Add more and more photos to complete this very roomy and sweet album.
I hope you enjoyed this creation. I cant say enough good things about this collection. Easy to use and beautiful throughout, a must have to create a keepsake for that special little girl.
