Design Team Project: BoBunny Genevieve Collection
Today I would like to share with everyone my latest Design Team Project using BoBunny's Genevieve Collection. I used the collection to create an altered cigar box with a mini album inside. What a fun project to do! What an easy collection to work with! The majority of the materials used on this project can be purchased at www.countrycraftcreations.com I will list the items used at the end of this post.
This is the top of the box. I love this paper pattern! The flowers were created using the papers in the collection and used in this project. The chipboard sentiment the bird is holding was from the embellishments in the collection. I added some sheer yellow ribbon to pop the flowers a bit and coordinate along with the metal bird. Some narrow yellow pattern ribbon was also used on the top of the box.
I enveloped the box with a bit more of the sheer yellow ribbon and tied it up in a pretty little bow on bottom side. I also added a chipboard piece from the collection saying 'dream'. Wooden feet painted in a midnight blue make for a nice finish to the box.
An overall view
The bottom of the box with my 'Handmade for you by Brenda' stamp.
Opening the box, you will find inside some pretty pretty things.
The inside of the box I papered with the beautiful bluebird pattern paper. The graphic on this paper is absolutely gorgeous! I love the colors and pattern....so so pretty! The blues and yellows are striking together!
The inside of the box lid I put an oval stop that holds 2 beautiful cut apart mats/tags and also a bookmark.
The 2 mats/tags and bookmark from the inside of the lid.
Inside the box the mini album is nestled securely. I have a yellow sheer ribbon that is attached to the magnetic bellyband that is useful to lift the album from the box.
The mini album removed from the box. I have made a magnetic bellyband that keeps the album closed but allows plenty of space for the album to expand once photos are added. A pretty handmade flower with yellow sheer ribbon accents decorate the band.
Open the magnetic bellyband or it can be removed by sliding it off, and the album is accessible.
The mini album cover
Opening the mini album and it holds so much! I love the feminine appeal of this collection.
On the left, there is a waterfall with 2 ice size pages. The sheer yellow ribbon tied in a bow keeps the waterfall pages together. The papers are just beautiful and flow so well together.
Slide the ribbon bow off to flip the waterfall pages
Under those waterfall pages is a pretty pocket with a chipboard little tag on it. Inside that pocket is a mat/tag adorned with yet another gorgeous graphic from the collection along with 2 buttons that also are in that same collection and coordinate perfectly!
The pretty mat/tag and a cute little bookmark expressing 'beautiful'.
The page adornments are punched with a feminine lacey punch to add to the delicate theme.
A closer look at the inside cover page with the inter-actives removed.
The inside spine area was the perfect place to add a small colored clip to hold a pretty bookmark. It could also be used as a journaling mat.
The bookmark shown
The right side of the album houses a full waterfall. 12 photos can be added to this waterfall, such a roomy area that takes up such a small space. I added a magnetic bellyband to keep the waterfall closed that is also embellished with a pretty handmade dimensional flower from the papers used within the project. A button from the collection serves as the center of the flower and yellow embroidery floss finishes it.
Open the magnetic band to access the roomy waterfall!
The magnetic bellyband from the waterfall
My favorite technique to use is the waterfall and I try to incorporate at least one in every album I do. Such a valuable and useful addition I think. Don't you love how the patterns and colors flow so well together!!!!
Flip that waterfall all the way up and residing underneath is another pocket that has the pretty lacey punched effect. Inside the pocket is a vertical booklet embellished with a pretty lacey blue ribbon.
Removing the booklet shows the back cover page in it's entirety.
I'm so happy with the way this project turned out.
The vertical booklet from the pocket. Rich colors in the graphic are present again.
Inside the vertical booklet is another pretty coordinating mat. A photo and journaling would work nicely here.
I hope you all enjoyed viewing this project, as I certainly enjoyed creating it! This creation is available for sale, feel free to contact me for information. I also create custom creations per your details and wishes.
