Design Team Project using PhotoPlays Luke2 Collection

Today I am sharing my newest project for the Design Team at Country Craft Creations. What I have created is a large 8X10 flip top box that holds a mini album inside. This is quite a large project and shows the collection nicely I thought. This collection has beautiful papers along with fabulous chipboard embellishments, wonderful cut a parts in 2 sizes, an ephemera pack and 2 sticker sheets with very usable stickers. This collection is beautifully made and all the sentiments express the 'reason for the season'.
I made this box from scratch using medium weight chipboard, the top opening is magnetic to keep it securely closed. On the front of the box after papering, I embellished it with a very cool 'dome'. Inside I have laid some white and silver glitter, then added a manger scene with some of the chipboard pieces. I encircled the dome with lace and a string of pearls. Some of the stickers I matted and used for accents also I applied some Prima Flowers to finish off the cover of the box.

Lifting the magnetic flap, you can see I have also papered the inside of the box to complete it.

Inside that box resides this large mini album (what an oxymoron huh?). See the beautiful papers I covered it with. I also used one of the large stickers that I matted and made a pocket out of to hold 3 matted tags. Perfect place for photos and/or journaling. I also used 2 metal pulls (one on the front, one on the back) with threaded seam binding to use as my closure.
The matted cut a parts (from the pocket) with beautiful sentiments are large enough for photos and/or journaling.

The spine of the album. I used one of the chipboard pieces which I matted and added one of the Prima flowers to decorate the spine. I didn't want to get to carried away with dimensional embellishments to make sure it would fit perfectly inside the box.

The inside front cover and page 1.

The inside cover has a roomy large pocket which holds 3 large matted cut a parts. Beautiful papers in this collection!
Aren't the matted cut a parts beautiful?!

Page 1. All the pages have bottom pockets and hold booklets and matted cut a parts. The pockets all have decorative edges that have been punched. This entire album and box has been inked as well. All pages also have large side load pockets with very large matted tags with scalloped pulls. This page also has pretty seam binding across the top and finishes off the page.
The contents of the pocket. The front bottom of the pocket has a stop made from one of the chipboard pieces and holds 2 matted sentiment stickers.
The very large side pull matted tag partially exposed to show.

Page 2. This page has a larger pocket at the bottom and is also punched to make a pretty border. One of the chipboard pieces is pop dotted for dimension and placed on top of the seam binding which runs across the top and bottom of the page. This pocket is quite roomy and will hold a great deal of photos or momentos.
The goodies inside the large bottom pocket consist of a large booklet and a matted sentiment tag complete with a journaling space.
